Baked Cheesecake Recipe
This is my Baked Cheesecake recipe, which is much like most other Australian Baked Cheesecake recipes!
Making the base
1 packet arnotts nice bikkies crushed heaps
115g butter melted not too hot tho
1 tsp ground cinnamon
Mix it up and then mould to a 20cm buttered spring form pan with heavy glass, in the fridge until needed, go high on the sides as this is a big cake!
Filling
750g philly cream cheese, room temprature
250g caster sugar
3tsp vanilla essence
Beat These ingredients in an electric mixer until creamy and then add;
lemon juice + lemon rind (to taste)
6 egg yolks (keep the whites)
190ml cream
Beat until it is somewhere between fluffy and creamy. Put it in another bowl and clean/dry the mixer/beaters (or grab your trusty hand beater) and then beat the egg whites to soft peaks.
Fold into cream mixture until it is just combined, pour it in (it’ll rise heaps above the crumbs in the oven but will return to the original level when cooled) so I fill it to the top of the crumbs.
Bake in a 180deg gas oven (I dont know how to use electric ovens) 40 mins (more like 50) until the center doesn’t seem to be completly liquid (jiggle it). It shouldn’t be completly set but close to it (it’ll cook for a while once you kill the oven) I then turn the oven off and leave the oven door open a little bit for 10 minutes to let it finish setting, then on the counter for an hour, then covered in the fridge over night.

‘Nice bikkies’, vanilla essence and philadelphia cheese, Jeez Louise this is sure adventurous. Suggest you cruise some other recipes before feeling you should share the sum of your knowledge.

I think you’ll find this is a pretty standard cheesecake and not really adventurous at all. I really don’t understand your point?
