It was only a matter of time until the last set of late night drunk carve boarding injuries had faded in our minds, and Mick ended up with a broken arm on Friday night. Enough said.

Broken gearbox
As I was saying my gearbox went on Fraser, so I spent some time looking and found a 60 up at Moololaba that had a turbo and fairey overdrive 5 speed gearbox and was unregistered, a good donor candidate. IP gave me a lift up the coast to check it out and after a few laps of the block the gearbox and turbo seemed ok, the engine was obviously tired, my offer of $3000 was accepted and I put a deposit down.
I arranged day rego for it and Angry who is currently unemployed gave me another lift up the coast to collect it. It blew a lot of smoke on the highway but drove well. This weekend the engine sold on ebay so I’ll be booking in some time at the mechanics to have him remove all the goodies and I can get my 60 back on the road. It’s been about 5 weeks already and I want to go for a wheel!

Guru was moaning something about wanting to go wheeling also, seeing he has been pwned by work recently and missed Fraser (tho I think he is alergic to sand), and Angry is unemployed I’m sure it’s no more than a few weeks away. IP might be taking some time off wheeling to settle into a new house and shed and stripping the bj down, eliminating some rust. Foodie got a diesel 60 a week after me and is now disposing of the 55, he is already planning a v8 conversion.
